The ferromagnetic Kondo lattice

We study here the ferromagnetic order in a Kondo lattice with only an intra-site Kondo-type exchange interaction. There is a coexistence between the local Kondo effect and the ferromagnetic order especially for a small number of conduction electrons. Finally, we apply our results to cerium or ytterbium compounds and compare them to the case of the underscreened Kondo lattice. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
