Compacton-like wave and kink-like wave solutions of the generalized KP-MEW (2, 2) equation

Using a bifurcation method and a numerical simulation approach of dynamical systems, we study the generalized KP-MEW(2, 2) equation (u_t + (u~2)_x + (u~2)_(x xt))_x + u_(yy) = 0. Two types of bounded traveling waves are found, that is, a compacton-like wave and a kink-like wave. The planar graphs of the compacton-like and kink-like waves are simulated using the software Maple. Exact implicit or parameter expressions of these solutions are given.
