摘要

Mathematical expressions for the mechanical properties of porous metal foams with an isotropic three-dimensional reticulated structure under multiaxial tensile loads are developed. From the simplified structural model, a relation between three nominal main stresses and the porosity is derived for these porous materials at failure under multiaxial tension. In addition, the relevant strength criterion for foamed metals in this loading case is obtained.
