摘要

The activation energy for solute diffusion in the ferromagnetic state of iron can be represented by Q~P(1 + alpha s~2), where Q~P is the activation energy in the paramagnetic state, s is the ratio of the spontaneous magnetization at T K to that at 0 K. The constant alpha for self-diffusion and diffusion of cobalt, chromium, molybdenum, niobium and titanium in alpha-iron has been determined experimentally. Compiling these values of alpha, we find that the constant alpha can be expressed as a linear function of DELTA M, which is the change of magnetization of iron on dilution with solute elements, if DELTA M is taken for the first and second shells of the solute atom.
