What follows is a comprehensive case involving a U.S. company that enters into an international production sharing contract (PSC). The contract terms include common elements found in production sharing contracts worldwide. The case covers a spectrum of topics that can be tied to a course in upstream accounting throughout the semester. I suggest assigning the case sections in conjunction with the coverage of the relevant topic in the classroom.
