M&G Identifies Corpus Christi as Site For New Production of PET and PTA

Houston-Mossi & Ghisolfi (M&G) last week said it has chosen Corpus Christi, Texas, as the location for its planned 1-million-t/y polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plant and accompanying 1.2-million-t/y purified terephthalic acid (PTA) facility (PCN, 16 May 2011, p 1). The project, "M&G's largest-ever investment," includes a PET single line plant which will employ M&G's EasyUp SSP technology, the same technology used at the company's 650,000-t/y single reactor Suape, Brazil, PET unit.
