Yulin— China Coal Shaanxi Yulin Energy & Chemical Co. Ltd. has awarded Lummus Technology a contract for the license and engineering design of two light olefins recovery units, and has selected Lummus' Olefins Conversion Technology for upgrading the resulting by-product. The recovery units, to be built in Yulin, Shaanxi Province, will use breakthrough technology to recover ethylene and propylene produced from methanol feedstock. Each unit is expected to yield 300,000 t/y of polymer grade ethylene and 300,000 t/y of polymer grade propylene. The first unit is expected to start up in 2013.
