Borsodchem Eyes Start of Production On Delayed Hungarian TDI Project

Budapest—Borsodchem expects to start production on its delayed toluene diisocyanate (TDI) plant at Kazincbarcika, Hungary, early in the third quarter of this year (PCN, 16 Mar 09, p 4). The plant had originally been scheduled to begin production in July 2009 with a capacity of 200,000 t/y of TDI. The initial nameplate capacity has been lowered to 160,000 t/y, the company added.
