A field experiment was conducted to determine the efficacy of Nomuraea rileyi (Farlow) Samson alone and in combination with biopesticides or chemical insecticides against Helicoverpa armigera (Hubner) infesting pigeonpea at Junagadh Agricultural University campus, Junagadh during kharif seasons of 2008-09 and 2009-10. The results revealed that alone application of endosulfan 0.07 per cent and acephate 0.15 per cent were found the most effective for reduction of//, armigera population with cumulativemean larval reduction of 73.12 and 65.09 percent, respectively. Second highest percentage reduction (56.26 and 49.80, respectively) of this pest was observed, when these insecticides were combined with N. rileyi @ 1.0 kg/ha. The lowest pod damage (17.16%) was also observed in endosulfan 0.07 per cent and it was at par with A'', rileyi 1.0 kg/ha + endosulfan 0.035 per cent, N. rileyi 1.0 kg/ha + acephate 0.075 per cent, which registered 18.40 and 19.40 per cent pod damage, respectively. Pooled results revealed that the treatment of endosulfan 0.07 per cent recorded the highest yield (1477 kg/ha), which was at par with N. rileyi 1.0 kg/ha + endosulfan 0.035 per cent (1412 kg/ha), acephate 0.15 per cent (1310 kg/ha), N. rileyi 1.0 kg/ha + acephate 0.075 per cent (1287 kg/ha). The highest ICBR (1:15.60) was obtained in the treatment of endosulfan 0.07 per cent and it was followed by TV. rileyi 1.0 kg/ ha + endsulfan 0.035 per cent (1:14.40) and N. rileyi 1.0 kg/ha + acephate 0.075 per cent (1:9.10). Considering the effectiveness and economies of different treatments, N. rileyi @ 1.0 kg/ha combined with endosulfan 0.035 per cent (ICBR 1:14.40) and N. rileyi @ 1.0 kg/ha combined with acephate 0.075 per cent (ICBR 1:9.01) were found effective and economicaland can be recommended for eco-friendly management of H. armigera in pigeonpea ecosystem, when they were applied twice first at 50 per cent flowering and second at 50 per cent pod formation, i
