摘要

The present study was undertaken incorporating nine treatments were evaluated for their efficacy against defoliators on soybean i.e. tobacco leaf eating caterpillar and green semilooper. The experiment was laid out in RBD and was conducted during kharifseason of 2013-14. The results were found to be statistically significant. However, numerically minimum cumulative average number of larvae of Spodopteraand semilooper was recorded treatment (T4) Profcnophos 50EC @ 0.185%followed by the Treatment (T3)Profenophos 50EC @ 0.125%, (T6) Quinalphos 25EC @ 0.075%, (T5) Quinalphos 25 EC @ 0.05%, (T2) Chlorpyriphos 29EC @ 0.06%, (Tl) Chlorpyriphos 20 EC @ 0.04%, (T8) Triazophos 40 EC @ 0.06% and (T7) Triazophos 40 EC @ 0.04%.The treatment (T4) Profenophos 50EC @ 0.185% ranked first in recording maximum yield but, in treatment (T3) Profenophos 50EC @ 0.125% highest ICBR was recorded. The other treatments in descending order in respect of yield were of T3 > T6 > T5 > T2 > Tl > T8 > T7 and regarding ICBR T4 > T5 > T6 > Tl > T2 > T7 > T8.KEY WORDS: Chemical insecticide, Defoliators and Soyabean.
