摘要

The field experiment was conducted at Sorghum Research Station, Marathwada Agricultural university, Parbhani, Maharashtra during four consecutive Rabi seasons 2008 to 2011 with a view to study the Population dynamics of Sorghum shoot fly Atherigona soccata Rondani in Rabi season. The results indicated that shoot fly dead-hearts commenced at a week after emergence of the crop. Thereafter infestation gradually increased up to 4 to 5 weeks and then become constant. Shoot fly infestation in terms of percent dead-hearts had positively correlated with bright sun shine and maximum temperature, but non significant.
