Among the different insecticides evaluated against aphids Aphis gossypii Glover infesting isabgol, carbosulfan 0.05 per cent was found most effective in a field trial conducted at S. D. Agricultural University, Sardarkrushinagar. The treatment imidacloprid 0.006 per cent and acetamiprid 0.004 per cent were also proved effective next to the carbosulfan 0.05 per cent as they were recorded lower population of aphids and higher grain yield among the insecticides tested. Among the botanicals, neem oil @ 0.5 per cent was found effective than other botanicals. The treatments thiamethoxam @ 0.035 per cent, fenvalerate @ 0.02 per cent, NSKS @ 5.0 per cent and Godrej achook @ 0.5 per cent performed least effective in suppressing the population of A. gossypii.
