Bayer Hit by Explosion in Baytown

Houston-Bayer saida 26 Sept.explosion at Bayer's Baytown,Texas,site has resulted in the closure of a toluene diisocyanate (TDI) unit.The cause of the explosion and extent of damages are currently being investigated.The unit,which has about 200,000 t/y of capacity,is one of two TDI lines at Bayer's Baytown complex.
