Air Liquide Adding Jurong Gas Capacity To Supply New Petrochem Production

Singapore- Air Liquide, through its Soxal subsidiary, is expanding its industrial gas infrastructure on Jurong Island, Singapore, to supply oxygen and nitrogen to CCD Singapore's new petrochemical production under a long-term contract.CCD, a joint venture of Chang Chun and Dairen Chemical is building facilities on Jurong Island for the production of 540,000 t/y of cumene, 350,000 t/y of vinyl acetate monomer and 150,000 t/y of allyl alcohol (PCN, 14 Feb 2011, p 3). Production is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2013.
