Netherlands' First LNG Import Terminal Opens Maasvlakte Regasification Plant

Kotterdam—The Gas Access to Europe (Gate) terminal in Maasvlakte, the Netherland's first liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal, has opened an LNG regasification plant. A consortium of Techint Engineering & Construction and Sener built the ?800-million plant, which is situated on 35 hectares at the port of Rotterdam. The terminal has an annual throughput of 12-billion cubic meters and tank storage of up to 180,000 cubic meters.
