Borouge Second Phase Expansion Coming on Stream 'As Planned'

Dusseldorf-The Borouge joint venture of Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. and Borealis confirmed during last week's K-2010 Fair here that the Borouge 2 expansion in Abu Dhabi "is starting up as planned" (PCN, 14 June 2010, p 1). In June, the company said it was starting up the ethane cracker, olefins conversion unit and polyethylene (PE) plant, and that it planned to start up two polypropylene (PP) plants in the next few months.
