Borealis-Markka Korvenranta, most recently senior vice president of olefins and outsourcing, has been appointed executive vice president for base chemicals. He succeeds Gerd Lobbert, who will assume responsibility for the polyolefins business group, effective 1 Oct. (PCN, 13 Sept 2010, p 2).
