Rompetrol Resumes Production of PE; Units Closed by Market Constraints

Bucharest-Romania's state-controlled Rompetrol Petrochemicals has restarted production at its low-density and high-density polyethylene (PE) plants, which were closed late last year by constraints on certain markets. Rompetrol, with total PE capacity of 60,000 t/y, said personnel laid off at the time of the closures are being called back to work.
