Qenos' Supply of Ethane to Altona Interrupted by Pipeline Rupture

Melbourne-The supply of ethane to Qenos' ethylene plant in Altona, Australia, has been halted because of a rupture in the pipeline feeding the plant, reported Bloomberg. ExxonMobil and BHP Billiton's equally-owned Bass Strait petroleum venture declared force majeure on its ethane supply contracts after an anchor from a vessel was dragged across the line during a 13 Dec. storm, causing the rupture.
