PTT Phenol Advancing BPA Project With Contract Award to Toyo-Thai

Bangkok-PTT Phenol Co. Ltd. has awarded Toyo-Thai Corp. the lump-sum basis contract for its previously announced bisphenol-A (BPA) plant in Map Ta Phut, Thailand (PCN, 4 Dec 06, p 1). Toyo-Thai will be responsible for detailed engineering, procurement of equipment and materials, and construction of the 150,000-t/y BPA project. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
