PetroChina & Ineos Conclude Deals For Trading and Refining Ventures

Beijing-Petro-China International (PCI) and Ineos have entered into an acquisition agreement and reorganization agreement for the establishment of two joint ventures in Europe engaged in trading and refining (PCN, 7 Feb 2011, p 1). Earlier this year, PCI submitted an irrevocable and binding offer to acquire a 50% interest in Ineos' refining business for $1.015-billion.
