BASF Introduces Specialty Monomer

Ludwisshafen-BASF has launched hydroxypropyl carbamate acrylate (HPCA) as a high-performance crosslinking monomer that shortens the processing time in the production of car-bamate-based polymers. BASF said its researchers have "successfully manufactured the specific chemical structure of HPCA on a commercial scale with the help of white biotechnology."
