Muscat-Octal Petro chemicals said it has secured a loan for the expansion of its polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resin capacity in Salalah, Oman, which will make Octal "the world's largest producer of PET resins on one site and the largest PET manufacturer in the world" (PCN, 13 Sept 2010, p 3).
