Westlake Boosting La. Ethylene Output; Mulling Options for Kentucky Facility

Houston- Westlake Chemical Corp. is undertaking an expansion of its ethane-based ethylene crackers in Lake Charles, La., and evaluating expansion options for its Calvert City, Ky., ethylene facilities. At Lake Charles, Westlake said its two light feedstock crackers will be expanded during separate scheduled maintenance turnarounds in order to provide ethylene for existing internal derivatives and the merchant market.
