Singapore-Jurong Aromatics Corp. (JAC) has for the second time delayed the start of operations at its planned $2-billibn aromatics complex on Singapore's Jurong Island, local industry sources said.An on stream date of 2014 is now expected for the project, which is intended to produce 800,000 t/y of paraxylene, 450,000 t/y of benzene, 200,000 t/y of orthoxylene and 2.5-million t/y of "valuable fuels" (PCN, 1 Feb 2010, p 3).
