Delamine Completing Ethylene Amine Boost

Arnhem- Delamine, an equally-owned joint venture of Akzo Nobel and Tosoh Corp., last week said it is on schedule to complete an expansion of its ethylene amines plant in Delfzjil, the Netherlands (PCN, 15 Dec 08, p 4).The project, to be completed before the end of this year, will increase the plant's total ethylene amines capacity by 35% to 55,000 t/y, and will make the Delfzjil plant "the world's largest single (ethylene dichloride-based) ethylene amines production unit," the company noted.
