Qatar Holding, Honam Further Delay Startup of Mesaieed PC Production

Doha-Qatar Petroleum's Qatar Intermediate Industries Holding Co. (Qatar Holding) and Honam Petrochemical Corp. have further delayed the start of production at their Mesaieed, Qatar, petrochemical complex (PCN, 8 Dec 08, p 1). The venture recently announced that the $2.6-billion project, originally scheduled to begin production in 2009, would be delayed until at least 2012 because project financing had become "a big issue."
