Nigeria's Oil & Gas Industry Reform Includes Anambra Petchem Project

Lagos-Nigeria's federal government, as part of the reform of its oil and gas industry, has approved construction of a multi-billion naira integrated petrochemical complex in Anambra state. Emmanuel Egboga, special adviser to the president on petroleum matters, said the project will include the production of 2,200 t/d of mixed natural gas liquids, 550 t/d of ethylene and polyethylene, 440 t/d of methanol, 2,260 t/d of ammonia and urea, 1,370 t/d of acetic acid and 150 t/d of formaldehyde.
