Nova Chemicals-Christopher D. Pappas, president and chief operating officer, has been appointed president and chief executive, effective 1 May 2009. As chief executive, Pappas will succeed Jeffrey M. Lipton, who has decided to retire at that time, but will continue as a member of the board of directors until Nova's next annual meeting.
