AkzoNobel Joins Consortium to Research Conversion of Algae to Chem Feedstock

Amsterdam- AkzoNobel said it has partnered with a consortium to study the potential of converting algae into feedstock for the chemical industry. The consortium, which includes energy company Essent, algae producer Ingrepo and Wageningen University, has received more than ?l-million of government funding after applying for a long-term energy research subsidy.
