Ube Industries, PTT Agree to Collaborate On Future Thai Chemical Businesses

Bangkok-Ube Industries and Thailand's PTT have signed a memorandum of agreement to study setting up joint chemical businesses in Thailand in such areas as caprolactam and synthetic rubber. Ube, which has been operating in Thailand since 1993, noted that the collaboration will give it access to reliable feedstock supplies, while PTT will have the opportunity to strengthen its chain of products and services by expanding into downstream production.
