Eastman Chemical Declassifying Board, Appointing Independent Lead Director

Kingsport-Eastman Chemical Co. has taken steps to declassify its board of directors and change the company's leadership structure to establish an independent lead director position. Effective 1 Jan. 2011, J. Brian Ferguson will retire as executive chairman of the board. At the same time, James P. Rogers, chief executive and director, will become chairman, and Gary E. Anderson, an independent director, will assume the post of lead director.
