RIL & GAIL Plan Joint Cooperation In Petrochemical Projects Globally

Mumbai—Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL) and GAIL (India) Ltd. last week signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly cooperate in petrochemical projects in and outside of India, local sources said. The two companies will seek opportunities for establishing petrochemical projects in feedstock rich areas, including the Middle East, Russia and Former Soviet Union countries. Once identified, the opportunities will be studied by a working group consisting of representatives from both companies. RIL and GAIL plan to set up a Special Purpose Vehicle to undertake the projects.
