Moscow-Sibur said it has started the production of divinyl styrene synthetic rubber at its Voronezhsintezkauchuk, Russia, plant as a result of a project to switch its polybutadiene rubber plant's catalysts system technology. Sibur invested 800-million Russian rubles to transfer a portion of its polybutadiene rubber facility to the use of neo-dymium catalysts system technology from titanium catalysts. "Modified technology will enable us to produce new types of rubber with improved durability, wear resistance and environmental impact parameters matching the best global standards," the company stated.
