Rentech Completes Purchase of SilvaGas

Los Angeles- Rentech has acquired SilvaGas Corp. and its commercial-scale biomass gasification technology, for an undisclosed amount. Combining SilvaGas' gasification technology, which converts various biomass feedstocks into synthetic gas (syngas), with Rentech's proprietary syngas conditioning and cleanup technology and the Rentech process, will allow Rentech to offer integrated packages for renewable fuels and power production.
