Iran's PGSOC Contracts Snamprogetti For Refinery Project in Bandar Abbas

Tehran-Persian Gulf Star Oil Co. (PGSOC) of Iran has awarded Snamprogetti SpA a contract for what it referred to as a "mega-sized refinery project" in Bandar Abbas. PGSOC, a joint venture of Star Petrogas Corp. and companies operated by Iran's Ministry of Petroleum, is building a refinery to convert 404,000 b/d of gas condensate into gasoline, diesel oil, jet fuel, liquefied petroleum gas and aromatics. Condensate feedstock will be supplied by the National Iranian Oil Co.
