Houston-Goodyear last week confirmed to PCN that an explosion and ammonia leak occurred at its Houston synthetic rubber plant on Wednesday 11 June. "Structural damage in the plant was limited to one of three heat exchanging units, which use ammonia as a refrigerant to cool process fluids," Amy Brei, a Goodyear manager, told PCN.
