Studies were conducted to evaluate ethiprole 40% + imidacioprid 40% - 80 WG as foliar application for its Moeffieacy against plant and leaf hoppers of rice and its phytotoxicity on rice in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. Field experiments on rice revealed that ethiprole 40% + imidacloprid 40% - 80 WG @ 125 g ha~(-1) recorded more than 90 per cent reduction in the population of leafhopper and plant hopper in the rice crop. The highest yield of 4.03 t ha~(-1) was recorded in ethiprole 40% + imidacloprid 40% - 80 WG @ 125 t ha~(-1) treated plots. This insecticide did not cause any phytotoxicity even at 500 g ha~(-1).
