摘要

A field experiment was conducted at experimental farm of Department of Entomology, Marathwada Agricultural University, Parbhani (M.S.) India during Kharif 2007, to study the efficacy of thiamethoxam as seed dresser against sucking pests of soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merill] and its impact on germination. The experimental findings showed that thiamethoxam 35 FS @ 6 g a.i./kg and thiamethoxam 70 WS @ 6 g a.i./kg recorded superior results indicating minimum sucking pest population. Further more it is revealed that the highest percentage of germination was obtained from the plots treated with thiamethoxam 70 WS @ 6 g a.i/kg followed by imidacloprid 70 WS @ 6 g a.i./kg.
