The antagonistic organisms, Pseudomonas fluorescens and Trichoderma vlride were evaluated for the efficiency to degrade the insecticide, lambda cyhalothrin under in vitro conditions. Bioassay and chemical assay were performed to evaluate the compatibility of the organisms and lambda cyhalothrin using spread plate technique and poison food technique. Degradation of lambda cyhalothrin is determined by HPLC analysis. Between the two organisms, Pseudomonas fluorescens was found to be the most efficient in degrading lambda cyhalothrin.
