EVALUATION OF TRIAZOPHOS AGAINST INSECT PESTS OF SOYBEAN AND ITS IMPACT ON YIELD

摘要

Field trials were conducted during kharif 2004 and kharif 2005 to evaluate the bioefficacy of triazophos 20 EC and 40 EC along with some other insecticides viz., endosulfan 35 EC and monocrotophos 36 SL against girdle beetle, Oberia brevis (Swed); Stem fly, Melanagromyza soiae (Zehnt.); leaf miner, Aproaerema modicello (Deventer); and green semilooper, Chrysodeixis acufa (Wlk.) in Soybean crop. On the basis of observation, triazophos 20 and 40 EC both @ 300 g a.i./ha and triazophos 40 EC @ 250 g a.i./ha were found statistically at par and superior to other insecticides in controlling the pests of Soybean. Monocrotophos 36 SL @ 500 g a.i./ha was found least effective against all these four pests of Soybean. Triazophos 40 EC @ 300 g a.i./ha gave the highest (28.42 q/ha) grain yield of Soybean during kharif 2005.
