BIOEFFICACY OF S1 812 10% EC, PREMPT 20% EC AND ADMIRAL 10% EC AGAINST OKRA INSECT PEST COMPLEX UNDER IRRIGATED CONDITIONS

Field trials were conducted for two seasons during kharif 2004-05 and rabi/summer 2004-05 at Regional Agricultural Research Station, Raichur, Karnataka The experiment was laid out in RBD with three replications. Three new insecticide molecules viz., S18I2 10% EC (Pyridalyl), Prempt 20% EC (fenpropathrin 30 EC + Pyriproxifen 10 EC) and Admiral 10% EC (Pyriproxifen) were tested at different dosages along with standard checks. Among them SI 81 2 10% EC @ 1 00 g a.i./ha recorded minimum sucking pest population, per cent fruit damage with higher fruit yield which was followed by Prempt 20% EC (fenpropathrin 30 EC + Pyriproxifen 10 EC) @ 200 g a.i,/ha which also recorded minimum mite and whitefly population.
