摘要

The experiment on the efficacy of Imidacloprid seed treatment @ 5,7 and 14 g/kg seed was conducted at R.C.A. Udaipur during rabi 2002-03 and 2Q03-04. The seed treatment with Imidacloprid @ 7 g/kg seed was found at par to the Imidacloprid @ 14 g/kg seed in terms of reduction in the population of sawfly, A. proxima and painted bug, 8. cruciferarum and the seed yield of Mustard. Imidacloprid @ 5,7,14 g/kg seed did not produce any phytotoxic symptom on Mustard plant and also did not cause adverse effectson the population of natural enemies present in Mustard crop. The seed treatment with Imidacloprid @ 7 and 1 4 g/kg seed yielded 18.79 and 20.39; 19.42 and 19.73 q/ha during 2002-03 and 2003-04 respectively and were at par to each other. Imidacloprid 7and 14 g/kg seed was found superior to Imidacloprid @ 5 g/kg seed and standard check, methyl parathion dusting @ 25 kg/ha, in terms of the population of sawfly and painted bug and the seed yield of Mustard.
