Persistence and dissipation of Dicofol on Chilli fruits were studied following foliar spray application of Dicofol 5 WP 75 g a. i./ha and 150 g a. i./ha. An initial build-up of 0.0375 and 0.0800 mg-Kg~(-1) of Dicofol resulted from the recommended andhigher rates of application.The dissipation of Dicofol residues in Chilli followed first order reaction kinetics with the degradation rate constant of 0.2792 and 0.2334 day~(-1) for the respective treatments. The actual half-life values were found to be 2.48 and 2.97 days, whereasthe modified half-life values were 2.31 and 2.24 days in the recommended and double dose respectively.
