Efficacy of the plant growth regulator (amino gold) on yield and incidence of stemborer of rice

Foliar application of Amino Gold, a plant growth regulator on rice at tillering and initiation of panicle primordia in six doses of 0, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0 per litre of water was done. Out of these doses, 2 ml pre litre of water showed significantly highest yield. Tillers per plant and number of grains per panicle increased with increasing concentrations. 1000-grain weight and yield per hill were highest at 2 ml concentration which was found to give maximum percent increase over control for these attributes. There was an insignificant effect on incidence of stemborer and in increase in plant height of the rice crop.
