摘要

The present study was carried out on sandy loam soil in Coimbatore District, Tamil Nadu during the period from 2011 to 2012, with a view to assess the effect of micronutrients on juice quality parameters of sugarcane variety Co 86032. Prominent healthy canes from the variety Co 86032 was selected and cut into two budded good setts and were subjected with four different treatments in three replications viz., application of Micro Food for Sugarcane at the dose of 25 Kg/ha as basal (T_1) and foliar (T_2) and in combination of both at the dose of 12.5 Kg/ha (T_3) and the setts with no inoculums (T_4) respectively. The results indicated that the treatments (T_1 to T_3) recorded significant improvement over control for all the growth parameters, especially for the traits cane length, and juice quality and thus application of Micro Food for sugarcane at different doses as prescribed above in the treatments may be recommended for cultivation of Variety Co 86032 in sandy loam soil condition for realizing high yield and quality. 1
