摘要

Field experiments were carried out at Agricultural Research Station, SDAU, Ladol, Gujarat during summer season of 2009 to 2012 with okra variety GO-2 to find out the evaluation of IPM module against okra insect-pests. The investigations revealed thatmodule (M-II) proved be the most effective and economical (ICBR 1:11.4) treatment against shoot and fruit borer, Earias vittella F, yellow vein mosaic virus, Bemisia tabaci (Genn.), leaf hopper, Amrasca biguttula biguttula and red spider mite, Tetranychus cinnabarinus (Boisd.) in which lowest incidence was recorded as compared to other IPM modules during 2009 and 2012. The module M-II comprised of seed treatment with Imidacloprid 70 WS @ 5 g/kg seed, mechanical collection and destruction of the infectedfruits of Earias larvae, installation of yellow sticky traps for jassids & whiteflies @ 5/ha, need based application of Azadirachtin @ 3 ml/I and need based application of Profenophos 50 EC @ 2.5 ml per litre of water were the most effective. The IPM module (M-III) was the next effective treatment against the major pests of okra evaluated during both the years. The studies conducted on impact of various IPM modules showed that net return was also higher in module (M-II) which was Rs. 25264 during pooled data of year 2009 to 2012.
