Investigations on the effect of temperatures, light intensities and pH on mycelial growth of Blue oyster mushroom Hypsizygus ulmarius (Bull.) was conducted at RCA, Udaipur during 2007. The results revealed that the temperature ranging from 20°C to 35°C was suitable for mycelial growth. However, maximum growth was observed at 25°C. While, total darkness favoured the mycelial growth as compared to natural diffused light, 154 Lux and 220 Lux. The highest mycelial dry weight (144 mg) was recorded at pH 6.0.
