Evaluation of chlormequatchloride residues in/on cotton

A field experiment was conducted with cotton Var. MCU 5 as the test crop during 1999-2000 at Agricultural Research Station, Bhavanisagar to determine the chlormequatchloride residues in cotton lint, seed and seed oil. The treatments tried constitutedapplication of two chlormequatchloride formulations 10 AS (Aqueous solution) and 50 AS at recommended and double the recommended levels (150 ml and 300 ml of 10 AS; 30 and 60 mi of 50 AS). The results revealed that the residues of chlormequatchloride oncotton lint, seed and seed oil were below the Maximum Residue Levels.
