U.S.renews push for Codex 'adventitious presence' project

The U.S.delegation to the Codex ad hoc Task Force on Foods Derived from Biotechnology is pushing for renewed consideration of a proposed project to create safety assessment guidance for plants containing low level ("adventitious") presence of transgenic material,when the newly-revived task force holds its second meeting Nov.27-Dec.1 in Chiba,Japan.
